Workshop on “Management knowledge Enshrined in our Holy Scriptures, a Vedic Perspective” organized by Department of Management, KCL Institute of Management and Technology

A One Day Workshop was organized by Department of Management for the students of MBA, BBA, B.COM (Hons) on the topic “Management knowledge Enshrined in our holy Scriptures, A Vedic perspective”.

Dr. Rishi Raj Sharma (Professor, Department of Business management, Associative Dean, Guru Nanak University, RC, Gurdaspur) acted as a Resource person. Dr Rishi Raj explained how the concept of management has evolved over the years. He explained about Indian context of knowledge and spirituality mentioned in our holy books. We can obtain better implementation and results of management concept while studying our own scriptures. Work is worship and we must honour it as our service towards god and society.

He also prayed for wellbeing of all and said this tough time would pass soon and things will again be normal. A healthy interaction followed by Question Answer round made the session very interesting.

Dr S.K Sood (Director, KCLIMT) stated that these type of workshops not only enhance knowledge of the students but also help them to know about their rich culture and heritage.

Dr. Inderpal Singh (HOD Management, KCLIMT) applauded the efforts of Dr. Rishi Raj Sharma and stated that India is a country which was known for its education system and in ancient times students from all across the world came to acquire education in India and Takshila University and Nalanda University. Our holy Scriptures include all the knowledge whether it is related to Science, Mathematics, Economics and Management. Other faculty members of the Department were also present to attend the same. The whole event was coordinated by Mr. Kanwar sartaj singh.
