School of information technology under the able supervision of Dr. SK Sood, Director, KCLIMT, organized stupendous “Alumni Talk series iv “ in order to put forth their opinions about their Alma mater KCLIMT & their voyage from KCLIMT to various professions that they have adopted.
Starting with the series, Ms. Babita Mehmi, an alumnus of the institute of the batch 2016-2019 and currently working as PHP developer Knowledge Academy, Jalandhar, kicked start the series with her talk on “interview skills” for the students of the institute. She delineated in detail about how to cope with interview, starting from the very process of preparation to the final hammering the nail. She discussed the strategic plan of preparation; brushing up the key points, interview mannerism & etiquette and the pre-requisite body language to be observed during the whole interview process.
The open sesame to interview as highlighted by her is “unperturbed equilibrium”.
Towards the end of the session, question answer session was held where students asked her many queries of their own to quench them successfully.
Ms. Babita opined that good communication is predominantly significant as a person with soft skills can fit in any work place and to this end she praised the efforts of the institute as it offers various programmes in personality development which has stood her in good stead.
She while addressing the students highly admired the institute for the infrastructure it has provided to them. Moreover it has wonderful, cooperative and highly qualified faculty who not only teach the curriculum rather also pep them to excel in life by honing up their life skills. Heena Kalia from Iniz solution dwelt on website designing. Navjot from Shiksha Infosys delivered an interactive session on how to make banner in Photoshop. In the concluding session on the last day Ms. Rajni discusses about PHP coding in a wonderful session that catapulted the students’ attention. All the speakers were quite nostalgic while delivering the talk and thanked KCLIMT for the splendid time she has spent in the institute. Dr SK Sood director thanked the alumni for the sessions and congratulated the coordinated efforts of faculty for the event.
