An Inter-College Management & IT Fest “Tech Symphonic- 2016” was organized for the consecutive third year at KCL-IMT in which students of Thirty Colleges /Institutes participated and showcased their talent. The main objective of organizing Tech Symphonic 2016 is the confluence of Wide Spectrum activities ranging from music, dance, fine arts and theatre to software development skills thereby manifesting unity, healthy competition, harmony and espirit –de-corps and inculcating managerial skills among students of Management & IT.
Hon’ble Shri Dr J.S. Puar (Ex Vice Chancellor , Punjabi University) graced the occasion as Chief Guest. He was presented token of gratitude by Sardarni Balbir Kaur (President Governing Council), S.Jaspal Singh Waraich (Joint Secretary),Sardarni Kartar Kaur (Senior Vice President), S.Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academics ) & Dr.S.K Sood (Director, KCLIMT).
The function started with Welcome dance by Students of KCL-IMT. After that Sardarni Balbir Kaur (President,Governing Council), S.Jaspal Singh Waraich (Joint Secretary), S.Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academics ) & Dr.S.K Sood (Director, KCLIMT) & Prof G.K Jain , Prof Raman Deol ,Prof Kamal Nain, & Dr.Inderpal Singh inaugurated the event by Lighting of Lamp.
After that Dr.S.K Sood (Director, KCLIMT) welcomed the dignitaries, Principals & Faculty members of different Colleges, Sponsors and Media persons. He read the annual report of KCLIMT and stated that in current year we have scored 100 % result in both MBA & MCA. We have provided 100 % training and placement to the students of MCA free of cost which is a great achievement for any professional Institute. Our MBA 4th Semester students have got placement in very reputed Banks and Companies with handsome packages ranging from 1.80 lacs to 4.00 lacs .These companies include Axis Bank, Indusind Bank, Avis Technologies, Eureka Forbes ,SBI life, Birla Sun Life, ICICI Bank and many more.

Group dance, Choreogarphy, Fashion Show & Ad Mad Competition.
The teams of Thirty Colleges participated with great zeal & Enthusiasm including Hindu Kanya College Kapurthala, GNA-IMT Phagwara, KMV College ,HMV College, SD College ,BD Arya College, CTIMIT, Doaba College, Lyallpur Khalsa College for Women, Lyallpur Khalsa College of Education, Lyallpur Khalsa College of Boys, KCL Institute of Law, Lyallpur Khalsa College of Engineering ,APJ College of Fine arts and many more.
In group dance students showcased their talent by presenting traditional dance of various states such as Bhangra, Gidda, Kashmiri Dance, Kathak, Western dance , Rajasthani Dance and many more.
In choreography and skit students showcased their performance on social issues such as Child Labour, Corruption, Devaluation of Money, Unemployment, Inflation etc and made audience think positively on such issues and suggest some solution to such problems.

Shri Dr.J.S Puar (Ex Vice Chancellor,Punjabi University) presented prizes to the winners. He congratulated the management & staff of KCLIMT for organizing such event and stated that such functions are necessary to showcase the inner capabilities of Students and provide a platform for them to show their Managerial and overall skills. He said that these students are the future of Nation and these type of events not only help them to excel in Academics but also improve their overall personality and help them compete with students of not only our country but also with students of other countries which is need of the hour so that we can produce highly skilled employees who can absorb in Reputed MNC’S.
Sardarni Balbir Kaur (President,Governing Council) congratulated the staff & students for organizing such a Gala Event. She stated that KCL-IMT is a place, which ensures that the student receives a high quality education and an all round personality development by organizing such events. At KCL-IMT, the emphasis is on the holistic growth & development of students, to make them competent enough to accept the challenge of the corporate world. Our endeavor is to make our students a good team member, firm decision maker and an efficient leader. We also endeavor to inculcate moral, ethical and human values to make them responsible citizens of the country. Students of KCL-IMT are groomed both on the technological and techno-managerial fronts through innovative teaching – learning methodologies.
Sardar Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academic Affairs) stated that our students are our top priority and the focus of all our efforts. We strive to ensure that besides providing quality education, our students get ample opportunity to involve themselves in extra & co curricular activities. This inculcates in them the feeling of independence & decision making. As college life is the foundation of students’ future, we lay foremost emphasis on enhancement of student’s personality, knowledge & professional skills through various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
