As an initiative towards safe environment, KCL – IMT, Jalandhar organized “Go Green Activitiy”. The main objective of this event was to spread awareness among students regarding the adverse effects of using plastics and encouraging the use of cloth bags instead of plastic bags. “Best Out of Waste” competition was organized by the college. The theme for the activity was to create something useful from the plastic waste items. Students participated with full zeal and enthusiasm. There was an overwhelming response from the students and total 28 teams participated in the activity.
Ms. Ashika Jain (Joint Commissioner, Municipal Corporation) was the guest of honour for the event who witnessed the program “Best Out of waste” products showcased by the students and appreciated students for their creativity and innovative ideas. Mr. Kamal Nain Sharma (HOD-IT), Dr. Inderpal Arora (Assosiate Professor) and Dr. Sanjay Bharghav (Dear, CS) were also present in the event and appreciated the students’ hardwork.
Kudrat (MCA VI) won the first prize, Manmeet & Aanchal (MBA II) got second prize, Kirandeep kaur (MBA II) bagged the third position. Consolation prizes were awarded to Bikky yadav & Renu Yadav (B.com II), Sourabh Sethi & Sagar (BBA IV), Amit & Saurabh (B.com IV), Shristy & Mala (B.com II), Radha (B.com II), Ashima & Lovepreet (BCA II).

Moreover, a stall was also set up in collaboration with “Kamal Mahila Self Help Group, Municipal Corporation, Jalandhar” for selling cloth bags where the students and faculty members of the college bought cloth bags.
