Trees are an important part of our life. Trees provide us with so many things necessary for survival like air, clean water and food. Trees create an ecosystem to provide habitat and food for birds and other animals. Trees absorb carbon dioxide and potentially harmful gasses, such as sulphur dioxide, carbon monoxide, from the air and release oxygen. One large tree can supply sufficient oxygen for four people.
In order to disseminate the importance of trees among the staff and students, ‘Tree Plantation Drive’ was organised at KCL-IMT on 22/08/2018 in which various saplings were planted. About 30 NSS volunteers both from Mgmt. and IT departments participated.
On this occasion trees were planted by S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director, Academic Affairs), Dr. S.K.Sood (Director), Dr. Sanjay Bhargava (Dean Computer Science), Prof. R.S. Deol (HoD-Mgmt), Prof. Kamal Nain Sharma (HoD-IT). Dr. Inderpal Singh (Associate Professor & Dean Research) and other faculty members were also present.
