The school of Information Technology, an offshoot of #KCLIMTJalandhar, conducted IT club activity-I on 20th January, 2018. It commenced after the inaugural address by Director Academics KCL Group, S.S. Chatha ji. In his speech director of KCLIMT Dr. S.K. Sood formally welcomed Director Academics KCL Group S.S. Chatha ji and all the present. It was conducted keeping in view the overall growth and multi-dimensional progress of the students. With the motive of proving a congenial atmosphere to the students for their exposure so that the latent talents of the students lying dormant could be brought to the fore, SIT organized the same which had six events namely
IT PIC COMPOSOITON: In this the students had to create story woven well-knit around the picture shown to them through the projector. They were provided 10-15 minutes for the composition of a story of around 150 words.
MIMICRY: In this students imitated some celebrities and other famous personalities. It was conducted in the mini-auditorium. Through this event students showed up their talent of mimicking and enthralled all.
KEYBOARD ON FIRE: This event was conducted in lab of the institute. By this event the typing speed of the students was evaluated.
E-DRAWING: In this event students were provided with a theme and they were told to draw some image that best illustrates the theme.\
LAN GAMING: Through this, multiple users were given access to play the same game connecting multiple computers through the LAN.
DO YOU KNOW: in this students were shown the logos of many apps and were asked questions pertaining to the apps and their developers.
Dean Dr. Sanjay Bhargava laid emphasis on such activities as they bridge the hiatus between theory and practice. Mr. Kamal Nain Sharma, Head Deptt of IT, presented the vote of thanks.
