Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical campus celebrates International Women Day
International Women’s Day marks a day of celebration and advocacy for women’s rights and equality around the world. It is a global day celebrating the social, economic, cultural, and political achievements of women and their contributions towards the society. LKCTC endeavors to take an initiative to provide a platform for female students to discuss and interact with renowned female doctors about their Health and Wellness.
The function is being organized by Lyallpur Khalsa College Technical campus, Jalandhar. The resource persons of the day were Dr. Divya Kalra, Dietician & Ayurveda expert and Dr. Shikha Chawla, MBBS (Radiation Oncology) HOD Radition Oncology, Patel Hospital. They motivated female students and inspired them to remain healthy as female health is imperitive for family and society. Nine Women Principals from different schools were also honored for their contribution to education in the leadership role.
S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director A.A., KCL Group) congratulated everyone on International Women’s day and in his message said that females are competing shoulder to shoulder with males in all areas.
Dr. S.K.Sood (Director LKCTC) said that there was a time when people considered that female gender is a weak gender but the tables have turned. With thriving persistence and hardwork they have become the best versions of themselves.
Dr R.S.Deol (Dy. Director A.A. KCL Group) appreciated the synergy and enthusiasm as well as the efforts of organizing committee for organizing such events and said that a woman has a major role in shaping the society. A woman is an idol who inspires both family and society. Women are not less than any men in any field. Women should be given proper education and support so they can become best version of themselves.
