An On line Two Weeks Induction Programme was organized in KCL-IMT to welcome their new batch of Management IT & Hotel Management students & in order to make them familiar with professional environment.
The Programme started with welcome speech by Dr.S,K Sood (Director, KCLIMT). He further stated that our students are our top priority and the focus of all our efforts. We strive to ensure that besides providing quality education, our students get ample opportunity to involve themselves in extra & co curricular activities. This inculcates in them the feeling of independence & decision making. As college life is the foundation of students’ future, we lay foremost emphasis on enhancement of student’s personality, knowledge & professional skills through various curricular, co-curricular and extra-curricular activities.
Then Dr Manisha Dheer gave the PPT presentation about the Institute in order to acquaint the students about the Infrastructure Facilities, Teaching Pedagogy etc about the Institute.
Sardarni Balbir Kaur (President,Governing Council) stated that KCL-IMT is a place, which ensures that the student receives a high quality education and an all round personality development by organizing such events. At KCL-IMT, the emphasis is on the holistic growth & development of students, to make them competent enough to accept the challenge of the corporate world.
S.Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director Academic Affairs) stated that our endeavor is to make our students a good team member, firm decision maker and an efficient leader. We also endeavor to inculcate moral, ethical and human values to make them responsible citizens of the country. Students of KCL-IMT are groomed both on the technological and techno-managerial fronts through innovative teaching – learning methodologies.
Dr Kalyan Sahoo Professor Management University of Africa gave presentation about Positive Attitude, Dr Sonia Singh (Director Toss Global Management , UK) delivered motivational talk on Building Resilience a Key to Success. Mr. Rohit Sharma gave presentation to the students. He guided the students regarding the current & future scenario of IT. Mr Ahsanul Haq (President, JMA , Director Programme , Master Mind School delivered expert talk on knowledge management & innovation.Dr Sachin Khullar , Brain Science Coach, Menta Skills Private limited guided the students to How to learn things ten times faster, Dr Vishal Kumar , Director Management, Maharaja Agrasen University, HP guided the students about E Learning platforms and tools available for management students in current scenario,Dr Satinder Kumar , Punjabi University Patiala , guided the students about digital marketing concepts. Dr Inderpal Singh (HOD, Mgmt) guided the students about Entrepreneurship an Occupation or an Attitude. Dr Parveen Singh Kalsi talked about social media marketing, Dr TARUNJIT guided the students on HR prospects in current scenario and Dr Manisha Dhir guided the students about job prospects in financial sector.
The students were also given presentation about Examination system, Co-Curricular Aspects, Personality Development, Training & Placement scenario etc. They were shown movie I am Kalam and management lesson were taught from the movie .
A cultural programme was organized in which Solo Dance and Solo Song competition was organized in which students participated with great zeal..
Mr. Anil Gangta presented a motivational talk to the students. He stated that in Globalized scenario, in order to meet challenges of Job, One has to be self-motivated. He stated that we should have passion for job & positive attitude to cope with job politics & occupational stress. The Mantra for Success is “Self Commitment” & “Self Gratification”
Dr Inderpal Singh (HOD, Management) & Mr. Kamal Nain Sharma (HOD, IT) also welcomed the students of their respective departments & stated that they will provide best environment to their students , so that they can excel in each & every field.
