With the objective to continuously enrich the knowledge of students and faculty of KCL Institute of Management & Technology, Department of Management, under the guidance of Dr. S.K.Sood Director KCLIMT and Dr. Inderpal Singh Singh (HOD, Management Department) organized online International Webinar on the Topic “The Future Of HR Post Lockdown” in Association with Toss Global Management India through ZOOM Platform for updating the knowledge of its faculty and students during this lockdown period. Hundred participants took part in this webinar.
The Resource person for this live session was Dr Steve Mckenna, Faculty of Business and Law, Curtin Business School, Perth, Western Australia. Dr Steve Delivered a very knowledgeable lecture on the topic and covered points like-Recent trends in HR, Skills required in HR people during and after lockdown period ,Role of technology in HR in current time. He motivated the students for upgrading their skills during this lockdown period so that they become industry ready for acceptance by the corporate world post lockdown. Dr Steve took up the queries of students and faculty and cleared their doubts. This interactive live session enriched the knowledge of the participants.
At the end, Dr. Inderpal Singh (Associate Professor and Head: Management Department) extended the vote of thanks to Dr Steve Mckenna & Dr Sonia Singh Director, Toss Global Management India, Moderator for this webinar and participants.He stated that Panademic Covid 19 and Lockdown have come out with opportunities as well as Threats for HR Manager. He is now required to maintain a proper balance between expectation of Management and job design of an employee. He is to ensure that job of the employee is secured on the one hand and profitability & solvency of the company is maintained on the other hand. He will have to come out with new ways of recruitment, Selection and training post Covid 19.He motivated the students to sharpen their skills during this period in order to be placed in MNC’s .
