KCL Institute of Management and Technology, Jalandhar received Green Thinkerz Academic Excellence Award for its remarkable contribution in the field of Management and Technology during the Convention4th International Convention on Interdisciplinary Research for sustainable Development was organized in the Confederation of Indian Industry Chandigarh by Green ThinkerZ Society in Academic association with Centre for Modern Construction, Western Sydney University, Australia; FOSS Community, Chandigarh, IIT Bombay Spoken Tutorial, Wakelet, Flipgrid and I2OR. KCL-IMT has the distinction to be promoted in 2010 by the Khalsa College Lyallpur Educational Charitable Trust, which has the glorious history of more than 100 years of contribution to the field of education and social cause. KCL-IMT is approved by All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE) and is affiliated to Punjab Technical University (PTU), Jalandhar. The KCL-IMT has a School of Management offering Master & Bachelor programmes , School of Information Technology offering Master & Bachelor programmes and School of Hotel Management & Catering Technology. The Institute possesses excellence in teaching-leaning and fosters conducive environment for overall professional development of the students. Besides an excellent academic record, KCL-IMT has a successful record of student placement in reputed MNCs domestically and abroad. With regards to infrastructure, the Institute houses projector enabled smart classrooms, Incubation and Entrepreneurship cell, digital library, computer labs, Grievance and anti-ragging cell and maximum number of doctorate faculty in the region.
In addition, six faculty members from the Department of Management and IT of KCL-IMT, namely Dr. Inderpal Singh Arora, Dr. Parveen Singh Kalsi, Dr. Sonu Dua, Mr. Hitesh Marwaha, Dr. Manisha Dhir and Dr. Ritu Rana received awards from Dr. Roland Amossou in their respective fields of specialization. Dr. Inderpal Singh Arora, Head of Department of Management, received Distinguished Educator Award for having an excellent record of research publications in various national and international journals, conference presentations, book publications, guest lectures/workshops, etc. hence, fostering an environment of research in the organization. Dr. Parveen Singh Kalsi, Dr. Sonu Dua and Dr. Manisha Dhir received Bright Educator Award, while Mr. Hitesh Marwaha and Dr. Ritu Rana received Outstanding Educator Award.
S.Sukhbir Singh Chatha (Director, Academic Affairs) congratulated the management, faculty and staff for this achievement .He stated that KCLIMT is known for providing quality education in the field of Management, IT and Hotel Management & Catering Technology. The Institute is having best faculty in the region with highest number of Ph.D Professors in Department of Management.
