School of Information Technology of KCLIMT organized a guest lecture on Advanced Software Engineering on 4th April, 2018 in the mini Auditorium of the institute. The lecture was conducted with the aim of imparting deeper insights into the field of Software engineering to the IT students. The resource person for the same was noted professor Dr. Hardeep Singh, Head, Department of IT, Guru Nanak Dev University, Amritsar. In his wonderful lecture Dr. Hardeep Singh dwelled on the significance of Software Engineering and the advances which have already taken place in it. He shared that Software Engineering is of paramount importance in today’s modern era of fast growing technology. He emphasized the significance of Software Engineering and the very fundamentals of it. The session was attended by faculty and students with equal enthusiasm. It was very informative and interactive session where students got full chance to satiate their thirst of knowledge. Mr. Kamal Nain Sharma, HOD-IT discussed that Software Engineering is must for all the IT students. Dr. Sanjay Bhargav, Dean opined that such lectures are valuable and opined that Software Engineering has immense possibilities for students. Director Dr. SK Sood thanked the resource person and added that KCLIMT always takes initiative in organizing such lectures.
