School of Information Technology at KCL-IMT, Jalandhar, in its pursuit of excellence in the field of IT education to its MCA & BCA students, has organized One Day Inter-College Workshop on PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor Language). The workshop was primarily aimed at enhancing the technical learning skills of MCA & BCA students and also to inculcate basic website development skills among the participating students of various colleges and Institutes.
The technical session was conducted by industry expert Mr. Sanjeev Kumar, CEO – Zeal Infosoft. He imparted theoretical and practical knowledge to students about the PHP Language which is a widely-used, open source scripting language used for scripts that are executed on the server. In the same sequence he stated that PHP is also a world-renowned and coveted framework that is the basis of many websites, web applications and content management systems. A large number of students and faculty members from various colleges and institutes attended the session and got hands on experience for developing websites.
Earlier, the workshop was inaugurated by the worthy Director (Academic Affairs) S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha, Director (KCL-IMT) Dr. S K Sood, Dean (Computer Sciences) Dr. Sanjay Bhargava, HOD (IT) Prof. Kamal Nain Sharma and other dignitaries. On the occasion S. Sukhbir Singh Chatha appreciated the endeavors taken for the upliftment of student’s learning skills in the field of IT. He further congratulated the faculty members and students of School of Information Technology. Dr. S K Sood also gave his best wishes to the staff for such initiative and stated that these types of programmes are necessary to promote employability skills among current generation and to compete in globalized scenario.
At the end of workshop certificates were distributed to all the participants. Later on a vote of thanks was given by Dr. Sanjay Bhargava.
